В данном докладе рассматривается фонетические особенности, характеризующие систему гласных в двн. и свн. периоды языка, а также причины фонетических изменений, приведших к появлению в немецком языке новых умлаутных гласных и другому функционированию системы в целом.
Ключевые слова: вокалическая структура, гармония гласных, акцентная парадигма.
This report is devoted to the analysis of the evolution of German vowels, and, consequently, the processes which led to the appearance of the new umlaut phonemes in the German language. The study also outlines the main reasons which caused the abovementioned phonetic changes. The scientific research is based on the study of the word phonemics on the material of the Old Upper German (OUG), Middle Upper German (MUG)
